Hello, I'm Issam
Who I am, what I build, and what this blog will cover.
I'm a senior software engineer based in Saudi Arabia. For the last 3.5 years I've built and run production systems: payment features and enterprise integrations at Ebana, and more recently .NET microservices, Next.js web apps and a Flutter mobile app as a part-time senior engineer and technology consultant.
What I'll write about
- .NET architecture: microservices, CQRS, event-driven messaging, sagas, and choosing the right amount of architecture per service.
- Next.js and React: building Arabic-first, fully RTL products that still feel native in English.
- Engineering with AI agents: how I use Claude Code, MCP servers and multi-agent workflows day to day, and where they help or don't.
- Production lessons: what hundreds of real production issues taught me about logging, monitoring and preventing regressions.
Why write
Writing forces me to finish a thought. If a decision can't survive a blog post, it probably shouldn't survive a code review either.
If something here is useful or wrong, email me.
